I did a lot of research before buying these, having previously experienced Roval C38, Prime 50 and Reserve 50 wheels. These are really light for their depth and an “own brand” hub, which is what drew me to them in the end. They seem to ride out crosswinds and gusts quite well, they’re still twitch but not scarily so. They also roll really nice when up to speed and the hub sounds brilliant when you do the obligatory sound check. There are some disappointing points however, which is why they’ve not got 5 stars. Finish, I can see flaws in the finish of the rims externally, which is annoying. Internally they’re a lot rougher than any of the other carbon wheels I’ve experienced, the odd loose bit of twill and burrs on spoke holes etc. The supplied ENVE tubeless tape is quite fragile, and the ENVE valves wiggle when hand tightened on the “air release nut” which worries me, this is what ENVE recommend however. The decals are also cheap stickers which damage easily, which is fairly annoying when you’ve owned them a week and they get damaged. I also had to get them trued back up straight out of the box, which is very annoying and an extra expense. These wheels cost £3300, I personally feel these niggles aren’t overly acceptable at that price. They will transform your aero bike, but there may be some cheaper alternatives that are just as good, or better.

Once set up the wheels hold speed very well and are comfortable because of the low pressure. They come with no rim tape or strip so you have to tape them yourself. My Zipp and Roval Rapides held air really well even without even any sealant. With the Enves I had to re-tape a couple of times and add a little more sealant that with the other wheels. Now they are OK. AND the transfers on the side come off very easily. It's just a cosmetic issue but give the cost you would expect them to be perfect!
