Added to indoor bike to improve comfort as I struggle with numb fingers and occasionally carpal tunnel during long / repeated sessions. Ended up with the gel pads over the original bar tape plus some new bar tape over the top. This made fitting a little difficult as the adhesive didn’t stick to the original tape wonderfully well but this wouldn’t be a problem on clean bare bars. Has increased comfort considerably- now rides of even 5-6 hours are bearable, even comfortable on the hands.

Does this attach to tape as my handlebars currently have tape on them (and then would plan to put another layer of tape on top of the gel pads) thanks

Hi, I'm looking for something to put along the top flat section of an aero bar. To provide grip and comfort when leaning on the forearms. It is for a single event so don't want to re-tape just for it. Would this be suitable, self adhesive? thanks

1. Hi, This could work, however, the gel pads would be sticky and perhaps not stay in place unless you used the supplied bar tape to cover them. You could just wrap the tops and use electrical tape to finish each end then it would be easy to remove after your event too. I hope this is helpful. Kind regards, Nathaniel.
