Giro Empire XC MTB Shoes
With a stiff carbon composite plate, grippy Sensor Rubber outsole, and a premium, supple upper, these Giro Empire XC MTB Shoes are built to tackle rough terrain, long rides, and technical trails with confidence.
Maximum Power Transfer and Trail Control
The Empire XC features a co-moulded carbon composite plate with 90Nm stiffness - 20Nm stiffer than the VR90 - ensuring every pedal stroke translates into rapid forward motion. The external arch contour and 2-bolt cleat compatibility, along with cleat bolt toe spikes, provide stability and precise control on challenging terrain. The Sensor Rubber outsole delivers superior grip on wet rocks, roots, and gravel, making the Empire XC a reliable choice for riders seeking efficiency and trail confidence in all conditions.
Supreme Comfort and Secure Fit
Designed with a Super Supple Teijin microfiber upper, the Empire XC conforms to your foot for personalised comfort, while Empire laces hold knots securely for long-lasting adjustment. Bonded TPU toe and heel protection safeguards against rock and root strikes, and the Supernatural Fit Kit with adjustable arch support allows fine-tuning for optimal biomechanical alignment. Combined with a traditional seven-eyelet lace system for even pressure distribution and a premium footbed with arch support, the Empire XC offers unmatched comfort, control, and versatility for gravel and mountain bikers alike.
Pedal Compatibility
These off-road cycling shoes are compatible with MTB and trekking pedal systems utilising the 2-bolt cleat system, such as Shimano SPD, Look Trekking and X-Track, crank brothers Candy, etc..
