the extra float, which I didn't notice, is offset by the reduction in lateral adjustment offered by these cleats. they do work as advertised in shimano pedals and likewise shimano cleats work in the x- track pedals but you can't adjust the side to side as well with these so not so good on the narrower q factor road/cx/ gravel setups.
I’ve had 3 lots of these cleats, 2 work perfectly but these won’t clip into the pedals at all.
