Shimano Pontoon System

Key to the RX910’s adaptability is the pontoon system. This adjustable system enables a perfect blend of road-racing pedalling efficiency and power transfer with rugged durability and off-bike grip. The pontoon consists of modular, side-mounted tread blocks, significantly increasing the contact patch between the shoe and pedal. This offers improved stability and pedalling efficiency, while the TPU tread pattern makes no sacrifice to traction when tackling gravel features that require you to hop off the bike. 

Performance Outsole

Efficient and yet comfortable over the rough stuff, the carbon fibre outsole is tuned for the demands of long days spent off the beaten track. Push on the pedals and be rewarded with instant acceleration, with a 12/12 stiffness rating that matches the top-tier road S-Phyre while benefiting from built-in comfort for long-distance gravel racing efforts. Drainage holes ensure rain-soaked gravel and stream crossings won’t leave shoes filled with water.

Lock in and pedal

The Anti-Twist heel cup provides a locked-in feel, ensuring no slippage during high-torque uphill efforts and out-of-saddle sprints. The supple upper and midsole are seamlessly integrated for a perfect fit, wrapping the foot to give pedalling support. Dual BOA® Li2 dials provide quick fit adjustment, even on the go, as well as quick release at the end of a tough training ride or race.

Pedal Compatibility

These gravel shoes are compatible with MTB and trekking pedal systems utilising the 2-bolt cleat system, such as Shimano SPD, Look Trekking and X-Track, crank brothers Candy etc..
