It works with wheels from 20” to 29+” and has been upgraded to work with a wider variety of frame and derailleur hanger combinations. The tolerances have also been improved for greater accuracy and the threaded tip is replaceable for years of service.
It was a bit expensive co sidering im not a pro biker i just wanted to commute with gears that work but it is a quality solid feeling tool. Got it to sort the annoying gears on my newish road bike and it has done the job very well, now smooth as! Then sorted my old mountain bike.. wifes bike, brothers bike, friends bike ect... smooth shifting all round now. No bent or broken hangers in sight.
Well made, sturdy and, for the price, not bad. The method of registering the distance using small robber washers, is quite fiddly and this its weakness. Some sort of threaded design would make it perfect. Whether it's better than cheaper alternatives I couldn't say but Park Tools are the Rolls Royce of bike tools so maybe you get what you pay for. The Sigma price was the clincher
