Pinarello F5 105 Di2 Disc Carbon Road Bike

The Pinarello F5 105 Di2 Disc Road Bike is a race bike that borrows much from the top-end Dogma F, but makes it a little more accessible in terms of price. Delivering versatile performance, this bike is as capable in the mountains as it is on fast flats and technical descents. Constructed from T700 carbon, the frame achieves a good balance of a stiff, responsive ride, compliance and vibration absorption. Carbon Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) optimises the frame to ensure it's stiff and strong exactly where required.

The racing geometry is based on that of the Dogma F, and many of the aerodynamic features have been brought across too, including the Flatback truncated airfoil tube profiles, the aero seatpost and TiCr full cable integration, while asymmetric chainstays improve lateral stiffness and enhance the handling. Pinarello has introduced a newly designed seat clamp that's hidden, compact, aero and lightweight. Additionally, an asymmetric seatstay design provides better balance and creates a lively ride feel.

The 'Made4you' concept has been applied to this Pinarello F meaning that every rider, regardless of height, will get the same feel and performance. Handlebar width, stem length and crank length are all frame size specific, making it easier to dial in the bike perfectly.

Shimano's latest groupset in the electronic line-up; 105 Di2, brings performance at better value, and is the perfect complement to this build. A wide gear range and smooth, precise shifting is paired with powerful hydraulic braking that's effective in all conditions. Fulcrum 800 wheels are fiitted with Pirelli P7 Sport clincher tyres for good traction, fast rolling and puncture protection.

A beautifully designed bike from the legendary Italian marque. I went for the F5 because I’d hired one for a week in Italy and loved the lightness on climbs, the handling around corners, the surefootedness on descents and the comfort over rougher terrain. I also like the blue matt finish. Dogma is way out of my price range and, frankly, ability, but I did consider the F7, which is slightly lighter than the F5 and has higher spec components. Eventually I felt that the extra cost of servicing and replacement parts on the F7 was not worth the extra few grammes. There are plenty of weight-saving options for my F5 if I choose to upgrade. As delivered, though, the bike is as light, stiff and slippery as I’d hoped. I love it. Also, kudos to Sigma, who spent several hours with me on the jig before confirming the ideal frame size. They also swapped out the stem at no cost, and threw in a Wahoo mount, bottle cages and pedals. Five star service.

    2. Hi there, Yes, the F5 ships with the full Pinarello spacer stack, so you've got the maximum stem height to start with. All Pinarellos go out on our Premium Delivery service, so a qualified mechanic does the handover at your door and can drop the stem to height on the day. If you'd like a specific stack height set before delivery, get in touch via https://www.sigmasports.com/contact-us with your order number. Many thanks, Matt B

About Pinarello

Hand-built in Treviso. Raced everywhere.

Since 1952, Pinarello has been hand-crafting some of the most coveted race bikes on the planet from its workshop in Treviso, Italy. The brand's asymmetric geometries and uncompromising pursuit of speed have carried generations of champions to victory at the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia and beyond.

Founded by Giovanni Pinarello after his own racing career, the brand has spent more than seven decades chasing one idea: build the fastest possible bike for the rider who refuses to settle. From steel through aluminium to today's carbon Dogma, that pursuit has never paused.
