Performance & Use Case
The SRAM PressFit 86.5mm Road Bottom Bracket is the OEM choice for fitting a SRAM crankset to a BB86 / PressFit 86.5mm road frame - including the Trek Madone and Speed Concept families. Whether you're running an older GXP crankset or the newer DUB standard, the matching SRAM PressFit bottom bracket delivers a guaranteed-fit interface with full sealing.

Construction & Materials
SRAM's seal architecture keeps water and grit out, extending bearing life and keeping rotational friction low. Two fully sealed cartridge bearings maintain smooth pedalling across the bottom bracket's service life. DUB variants are significantly lighter than the GXP system that came before - around 40g of weight saving for the same drivetrain performance.

Compatibility
Fits any frame with a PressFit 86.5mm road bottom bracket shell - including Trek Madone, Speed Concept and other BB86-equipped framesets. Two spindle-compatibility options cover SRAM DUB (28.99mm oversized) and SRAM GXP (24mm - SRAM Red, Force, Rival, Apex compatible) cranksets. Select the variant that matches your crankset. ISO 4210 compliant.

Features
  • Two fully sealed cartridge bearings for long-lasting rotational efficiency
  • PressFit 86.5mm road shell standard - BB86
  • Spindle options cover SRAM DUB (28.99mm) and SRAM GXP (24mm)
  • DUB variants significantly lighter than GXP system - around 40g saving
  • Easier installation than threaded - bearing cups press directly into the frame
  • Suitable for Trek Madone, Speed Concept and BB86-compatible framesets
  • ISO 4210 compliant

Rhyolite,

I needed this type of BB as I bought a Quarq power meter. It only lasted a few months before starting to creak, and developed play in the bearings. I then switched to a ceramic bearing, which lasted a year before one side started grinding. While I sent the ceramic bb off for a warranty inspection, I bought another one of these bb's. It was creaking from the first ride. Unfortunately, I think it's just this type of bearing is terrible as the bearing itself has to be thin due to the large spindle size of dub axles. But this specific bearing is very poor.

About SRAM

Reinventing the ride, one component at a time.

Founded in Chicago in 1987 with a single product — Grip Shift — SRAM has spent four decades reinventing how riders interact with their bikes. From the first wireless electronic groupset to today's AXS ecosystem, the brand keeps asking the same question: how do we make the next ride better?

Wireless. Configurable. Ride-aware. SRAM's AXS platform replaces a tangle of cables and proprietary protocols with a single, app-driven ecosystem that spans road, gravel and mountain. Components talk to each other and to you.
