Shimano MW702 Gore-Tex MTB / Off-Road Cycling Shoes

Shimano's MW702 Gore-Tex MTB Shoes provide all the protection your feet need in adverse riding conditions. They have a Gore-Tex® waterproof membrane and tall neoprene ankle to create a strong barrier against the rain. A synthetic leather upper with micro-perforations ensures good ventilation and fast drying, while the XC sole uses ULTREAD™ compound that's both grippy and durable. A BOA closure allows for plenty of micro-adjustment and there's a cover to further keep the elements out. 360° reflectivity finishes the shoes off nicely, maximising visibility in low light conditions.

I've taken the opportunity of trying out my new shoes and I'm not dissapointed I rode to work in the rain yesterday and my feet were warm and dry when I arrived at work On the ride home the rain had stopped but the temperature had dropped to 2 degrees. My feet were perfectly comfortable and warm. I'd say these MW702 shoes performed admirably and I feel comfortable and secure in the expectation that my feet will be ward and dry this winter and for many winters to come. One word of caution, consider going up a size.I usually take a Eu 43 and I needed a Eu 44 to guarantee a sufficient room for feet expansion and allowance for thick socks.

Without a doubt these are the best winter boots I have had, and I've tried a few. They are warm, dry and have sufficient space in all areas such when your feet swell they don't pinch, and they are so easy to get on and off compared to some rivals with neoprene cuffs. They did get wet on one occasion with water coming in via the cuff, but that is common to many boots like this. Been used for commutes, gravel and club rides and I would buy again.

About Shimano

Shifting the way the world rides.

From a single Osaka workshop in 1921, Shimano has grown into the world's most influential component maker. The brand's relentless engineering — Dura-Ace, Ultegra, GRX, XTR — has shaped the way the world shifts, brakes and rides, on the road and off it.

Shimano's flagship groupset, Dura-Ace, has been the benchmark for top-level road components for more than five decades. Every refinement that lands on Dura-Ace eventually shapes the entire Shimano range, all the way down to entry-level drivetrains.
