This handlebar is sold through distributors all over the country (and perhaps around the world). The drop was designed to be 103 mm as stated on every reseller website, with information from Specialized (so not the fault of resellers like this site). However the company that prides itself in engineering and charges premium prices by boasting about the same could not get 103 versus 130 right. These handlebars have a drop of 130 mm, NOT the industry-distinguishing 103mm claimed. It’s not just a typo either, the packaging lists the drop at 103 and the description talks about the comfortable shallow drop. Did someone drop the ball in design and engineering, manufacturing, quality control? Seems to be all three! Response to me from Specialized was that AFTER I notified them they checked and yes, it is 130 mm. But then, no solution, they signed off with a “happy pedaling”. In other words “you customers don’t matter and you pay the price for our mistakes”. So confidence inspiring! :)

Reviews
Less flexible than I used to be, so wanted to raise the bars a little and also make the drops more comfortable to use. This bar, with its flare has done both of those. I had carbon bars before, but do not feel any more vibration or buzz with this alloy bar.

What size stem clamp ???? Please
Hello, I can confirm that this is a 31.8mm clamp. Many Thanks Liam
Is there adequate room for mounting for Computer and lights between the clamp and the rise section ?
Hello, Depending on the stem used, there will be space for a computer mount, I would recommend using a lower profile mount such as a K-Edge Race mount. Many Thanks Liam
Hello, where is measured the width C-C : on the end of handlebars or in brake levers area ? Thx, Libor
Hi Libor, Thanks for getting in touch, These bars are measured Centre to Centre on the tops of the bars. I hope this helps. Many thanks, Ollie
About Specialized
Innovate or die.
Founded in California in 1974, Specialized began with a simple promise: serious riders deserve serious gear. Half a century later, the brand still funds its own wind tunnel, builds its own carbon, and tests every bike with the world's best so that you ride your own best.
The first production mountain bike. The first cycling-specific shoes. FACT carbon, the Win Tunnel, S-Works. Specialized has a habit of building the things the rest of cycling ends up copying.
