Designed to be used as part of a cold-weather layering system, the Universal Colours Chroma Insulated Unisex Gilet is warm yet breathable, with a DWR C0 treatment to keep light rain at bay. Key to thermoregulation is innovative Comfortemp® phase change lattice insulation, which uses your own body heat, absorbed and stored in the material during hard efforts, to warm you up as you start to cool when soft pedalling or descending. The outer is constructed from a two-way stretch recycled nylon blend to prevent restriction to movement.
The vest has silicone in the hem to keep it securely in place, and there are three rear open pockets plus a zipped pocket for storing ride essentials. Finished with reflective detailing, this garment adds a touch of extra visibility in low light, and the packable design means that when things start to warm up, you can pack the gilet down small into its own pocket for easy storage.
Please note: Through frequent wear and washing, the water repellency of the DWR C0 technology will gradually be lost and requires some extra care to extend the lifespan of the protective properties. To help you look after your gilet, use a reproofing spray or wash to get the garment back to its original performance.

(1) Chest measurement is measured around the largest part of the chest with the tape measure horizontal to the floor.
(2) Waist measurement is measured around narrowest part of the torso, generally a couple cm above belly button with the tape measure horizontal to the floor.
(3) Hip measurement is measured around the fullest part of the behind with the tape measure horizontal to the floor.
Very versatile gilet. Super insulating but also light enough to stuff in your back pocket or zip it open with the double zipper to regulate temperature. DWR seems ok still after washing. I wore this with the mono long sleeve and a winter baselayer underneath in 2 degree weather and my core was totally warm. Superb construction quality.
This gilet is PERFECT. The insulation in the front is just enough to take that little bit of extra chill out, but it never feels too stodgy once you get going. I love using it for running too--I think everything should have pocket on the back.
