The Bontrager Tubeless Ready Flash Charger Track Floor Pump is perfect for riders looking to set up tubeless tyres. The bike pump's pressurised barrel allows you to inflate your tubeless tyres without the need for a CO2 canister or air compressor. This is necessary for getting your tyres to bed properly.
The pump can also be used as a regular track pump for riders using clincher tyres and the top-mounted 160 psi gauge allows for precise inflation. A three-pronged base gives superb stability and the auto-select head means the pump can fit either Presta or Schrader valves.
Works great as a normal pump or using the flash charger to seat the tyres. The only problem is there is no non return valve in the head so when you connect it, the tyre dumps its pressure into the cylinder, normally drops a road tyre to around 60PSI and you then have to pump it up again. This can be remedied if you close the red leaver and retain the pressure in the cylinder. Each time you connect you open the cylinder and the pressure drop is minimal.
I bought this to set up some stubborn tubeless tyres and rims. Worked a treat I was very impressed.
