The evolution of digital 3D printing allows for the development of a new saddle free from traditional production constraints. The Adaptive saddle padding is crafted by Carbon® using their revolutionary Digital Light Synthesis™ technology. DLS is an additive manufacturing process utilizing digital ultraviolet light projection, oxygen-permeable optics, and programmable liquid resins to produce parts with excellent mechanical properties, resolution, and surface finish.

Using Carbon® technology, biomechanics, and engineers have the unprecedented ability to design and manufacture multiple functional zones within the saddle, tuning each separately for specific mechanical properties. Each key functional zone is engineered for distinctive cushioning and mechanical response, seamlessly joined together in the same padding. The result is a 60% reduction in peak pressure through improved weight distribution, increasing comfort across the entire saddle surface.

Argo, Fizik's most versatile saddle shape, is at home on various bike and surface types. To develop the ideal Adaptive comfort zones, Fizik studied the various riding positions and pressure points of professional cyclists and amateur riders, both in labs and out on open roads, gravel tracks, and trails. Each development phase involved rigorous testing to understand how pressure patterns change according to different bike geometries, riding positions, and surface types.

The 00 is the lightest option in Fizik's Argo range, combining a lower profile 3D-printed padding with an incredibly stiff high-modulus, full-carbon shell and rails. This design is tuned for maximum power transfer without compromising comfort, making it an ideal choice for performance-focused cyclists.
