This attaches easily and securely to the underside of the mount that came with my Garmin Edge 530. It seems very solid, you could definitely fix an action camera to this. I got it so I could attach my Exposure Trace front light underneath my Garmin. This setup looks super clean, as it reduces the 'clutter' around my handlebars.
