Sleek, bright and innovative, Knog’s Bilby Headlamp provides up to 400 lumens from its five LEDs and USB rechargeable battery. The LED’s and power unit are housed in the adjustable silicone strap but can be popped out to plug into a USB socket for a full recharge in four hours. With five hours of light at the most powerful setting, and up to 105 hours on the lowest, there is plenty of power available, and a plethora of in-between modes to choose from. Six modes, with four power settings per mode always allow the right level of light to be found, although even more customisation is available via Knog’s Modemaker app, which also lets the user predefine the operating order.

In addition to the usual spot and wide beam options, the Bilby also has a down-facing reading light and red light which helps retain better night vision when used. Furthermore, the beam angle can be raised or lowered by 20° depending on exactly where the light is required. It is rated to IP67 standard, meaning that it can be submerged in water up to one metre deep - great for wet night runs, camping or bikepacking - where its low weight and balanced feel will also be much appreciated.
