SKS Raceblade Pro XL Stealth Series Mudguard Set

When the weather takes a turn for the worse, don’t just endure the grime, grit and water of the road flicking up on your face, frame and backside. The SKS Raceblade Pro XL Stealth Series Mudguard Set has been designed to take on the wet weather thanks to their design, which can be used with tyres from 25-32 millimetres in width. A rubber quick release fitting system makes securing the mudguards a quick and simple job.

The length of the stays can be fully adjusted to adapt to the radius of the wheel and super light, extra-long mud flaps give that extra spray protection you yearn for when the rain starts to get heavier.

The SKS Raceblade Pro XL Stealth also includes an adhesive protection kit to avoid damaging the frame's paintwork. You do not need mudguard eyelets to attach these mudguards as they attach via a rubber strap to your frame.

I don't have a winter bike as such, but tend to use my BH RX Team cx bike, which has no mountings for mudguards. It's fitted with 35mm Schwalbe G1s, and all of this presents a challenge for clean-ish riding in dirty weather. The SKS Raceblades seem like they were made for this. Half an hour to fit and adjust (easy) and a couple of hours riding and no fiddling about! I would estimate around 80% reduction in muck and wet on me and the bike. Clean back and feet. Excellent. And of course full marks to Sgma for fast delivery.

These men guards have been great in keeping my backside dry as well as avoiding excessive road spray on my legs. I am now less hesitate to commute when it’s wet which is most of autumn and winter tbh. They are easy to attach which means I can pop them off if it’s dry. An essential for all winter commuters.

  1. Will these fit a Specialized Tarmac SL6? I recently got the Raceblade Pro XL guards, but the arms did not reach the seatstays on the rear, and rubbed up against the down tube on the front, so I am looking for other options.

  3. I have a Ribble R872 disc roadbike with 28mm tyres - I read one review that said the SKS Racebade Pro XL mudguards don't fir the R872 front wheel - is that correct? What mudguards do you suggest?
