Shimano PD-EH500 SPD Pedals

The Shimano PD-EH500 SPD Pedals offer a secure, studded platform on one side and an SPD clip-in option on the other. This makes them a great choice for riders who might want the efficiency of being clipped in sometimes but don’t always want the hassle of changing into cycling-specific footwear at others. The release tension of the SPD can be altered easily and the bearings can be serviced to maintain smooth running and increase longevity.

This is the best 'touring' pedal I have come across, which enables you to enjoy the benefits of clipping in or riding on the flats. Thanks to the product photo on Sigma Sport's website, I finally realised what the little pack of screws provided with the pedals is for. By screwing them into the holes on the flat side of the each pedal you get better grip. My shoes not longer slide around when wet!

About Shimano

Shifting the way the world rides.

From a single Osaka workshop in 1921, Shimano has grown into the world's most influential component maker. The brand's relentless engineering — Dura-Ace, Ultegra, GRX, XTR — has shaped the way the world shifts, brakes and rides, on the road and off it.

Shimano's flagship groupset, Dura-Ace, has been the benchmark for top-level road components for more than five decades. Every refinement that lands on Dura-Ace eventually shapes the entire Shimano range, all the way down to entry-level drivetrains.
