The Wheels Manufacturing BBright Outboard Bottom Bracket is the upgrade replacement for any Cervelo BBright frame. Where OEM bottom brackets wear out and need full replacement, Wheels Manufacturing's design uses serviceable Enduro bearings that can be replaced when worn - extending the bottom bracket's working life and reducing waste. Moving the bearings outboard adds drivetrain stiffness and removes the frame-tolerance issues that affect press-fit alternatives.
Construction & Materials
The shell is machined in the USA from aluminium for precision tolerances and lasting durability. Double lip-sealed Enduro bearings keep water and grit away from the bearing surfaces. Angular contact bearing variants disperse load more evenly than standard cartridge bearings, particularly relevant for SRAM cranksets under hard pedalling.
Compatibility
Designed specifically for Cervelo BBright framesets. Two spindle-compatibility options cover Shimano Hollowtech II (24mm) and SRAM GXP (22/24mm) cranksets. Each spindle option is available with standard ABEC-3 or angular contact (AC) bearings. Select the variant that matches your crankset and your performance preference.
Bought this to replace OEM no-name press-fit bb on my Cervelo R3. Fitting was a 20 minute job once I’d bought the £20 tool, and it works as advertised. Super smooth, and most importantly, zero creaking. A great product to solve the problems of press-fit.
Bearings are good and the BB is easy to mount. You need 2x 48mm 16t BB wrenches to fit it. Seems that that sizing for BBright might be a little small buy that may well be my frame. Overall for conveying a cervelo to use Shimano crankset no real complaints
