The Zipp 454 NSW Carbon Rear Wheel is built for road cyclists seeking maximum speed, control and efficiency. Designed for racing at the highest level, it combines advanced aerodynamics with refined engineering.

Thanks to its wide rim profile, this wheelset is optimised for tubeless tyres at lower pressures, which helps reduce rolling resistance and smooth out road vibrations. A 28mm tyre is recommended to achieve the best balance of speed and comfort.

At the heart of its aerodynamic performance is the distinctive 58mm deep Sawtooth rim with Hyperfoils, offering exceptional stability in all wind conditions. Zipp’s Total System Efficiency framework underpins the design, addressing all the main obstacles to speed including wind resistance, rolling resistance and road vibration.

The hookless rim design provides a cleaner interface between tyre and rim for improved aerodynamics, while also supporting a lighter and stronger build due to better resin distribution. The 454 NSW is completed with the ZR1 SL hub, featuring ceramic bearings and 66 points of engagement for smooth, fast power transfer. The hubset is 30 grams lighter than previous NSW versions.
