A few weeks ago a transit van pulled out in front of me as I was going through a set of traffic lights at approx 25mph. I had no time to react as the driver maneuvered almost instantaneously. I slammed into the vehicle's side panel and bust my pelvis, 5 ribs and clavicle. I remained conscious throughout the entire event thanks to the POC Omne Air helmet I was wearing. When I left hospital a couple of weeks later I was able to inspect it and saw the damage it had suffered instead of the right front of my brain.
