Updated for 2026 but a design flaw risks a broken frame. The new model has updates for this year, but has one significant issue. The wheel pockets put the end cap of the wheels against the seat stay of the frame. So a choice has been made to put the widest (and therefore most likely area to get force applied) part of the filled bag over the (often) thinnest part of a carbon frame (example - typical medium carbon gravel bike). As these bags are going to be picked up and handled by baggage handlers then that means the bag is designed to transmit any force from while it’s flat directly through the wheels hubs through to the seat stay. Only used once and the protective plastic sheet is cracked in two places already as … imagining a straight line .. force goes from outside hub cap / rotor side of wheel, directly to seat stay, which doesn’t tie and then the next seat stay then takes the force from the other sides wheel. No answer from Evoc on why that was chosen as a design. It feels like the internal frame or the wheel holders need some flexibility in location so that the wheel end caps would go in to the space in the rear triangle and disperse force more evenly.

The instructions did not tell me to remove the front wheel before checking the bag in, the wheel came off during the flight transfer, this needs to be made much clearer, I now have no front wheel! The front wheel is a game changer for moving around the airport but this key (assumed) requirement is not made clear.
