The Pirelli P-ZERO Race TLR RS tyre is the latest addition to the P ZERO™ Race road racing tyres and has been developed specifically for racing purposes. It's Pirelli's fastest cycling tyre to date, featuring improvements in all areas.
The Pirelli P-Zero Race RS TLR Road Tyre represents a significant advancement in cycling tyre technology, featuring the innovative SpeedCORE™ technology, which incorporates aramid particles into a thin air-tight rubber compound layer. This construction, combined with a reduced casing depth, results in notably lower rolling resistance compared to its predecessor. The tyre's SmartEVO2 compound, derived from Pirelli's motorsport expertise, demonstrates the company's commitment to performance by utilising smart polymers manufactured through proprietary Italian processes, delivering exceptional grip and speed characteristics in wet and dry conditions.
Building on their racing heritage, Pirelli has enhanced the tyre's practical features with a redesigned TLR bead that improves air retention and compatibility with modern rim designs, including hookless options for sizes 28-622 and above (though smaller sizes maintain traditional hook bead requirements). The tyre's premium construction is evident in its 120tpi casing and competitive weight profile of 290g for the 28mm version and 310g for the 30mm option.
