I wanted a soft bag to protect the frame we transporting my bike in the back of the car. The bag is ok for that particular use, but is simply too small for my 58cm frame road bike. The handlebars and forks are always left poking out. I'd probably have to remove the bars and seatpost fully if I wanted to get everything inside, with the zips closed, which isn't how the bag was marketed. Setting that aside, the bag is well made with quality materials and zips and would survive normal airport handling, although I think if your ride is something nice then I don't think I'd trust this to safely protect it from rough handling and would go for a hard case.
