I bought these as a replacement for my old Fizik R5swhich I’ve had for many years. I also already use the S-phyre RC9s on track and really like them. I didn’t want to splash out the extra for the road versions that will no doubt get more damaged and worn road racing and out in the elements. They look great all white and the quality of the materials seems just as good as the S-phyres. The toe box is much wider than the Fiziks which makes them much more comfortable. The two dials give them the security I wanted for sprinting and climbing which I didn’t feel I got with Velcro straps over the toe area. They can sometimes dig in a little on the top of the foot but that just needs a little manipulation of the overlapping material to get it to sit tight and comfortable. I think that the performance is just as good as the s-phyres without having to pay the extra. Just remember to clean your hands after fixing that puncture before tightening up the dials
