The Specialized Crux Comp is the world’s lightest gravel bike, combining huge tyre clearance with performance gravel geometry. Built for speed, versatility and control, it delivers the ultimate expression of gravel performance.
With frame weights of just 725 g for the S-Works 12r and 825 g for the 10r, the Crux applies the breakthroughs of the Aethos to gravel. The result is a bike that climbs with ease, floats over rough terrain and weighs less than a full bottle in the cage.
Clearance for 47c tyres or 650b x 2.1” means the Crux matches the capability of the Diverge, opening the door to more adventurous routes at full gas.
Nimble, supple and reactive, the Crux is sharp at the pedals and smooth in the saddle. Its performance gravel geometry and race-inspired fit carry forward the heritage of Crux cyclocross racing into a modern gravel bike. Equipped with a Shimano GRX 12 speed groupset, DT G540 Disc wheels and 2Bliss Ready 700x40 mm Pathfinder tyres for reliable shifting, strength and traction across challenging terrain.

Given the recent drought and super-dry trails in UK, I can't tell you yet how this bike handles in the mud, but I am really enjoying riding it both on trails and the road. Feels pretty much as fast to ride on flat roads as my lighter road bike with 25mm tyres, and copes well with chalky single track and forest firetracks. I love riding it! It really looks the part too.
Bought for my wife, she loves it. Superb machine but you really need to upgrade the wheels / tyres to get the best out of it. It's still a bargain. Aethos on steroids.
