Twenty years ago, the original Synapse redefined road cycling by introducing a true alternative to aggressive race bikes and upright comfort models. It delivered race-ready performance and lightweight handling with rider-focused comfort, paving the way for the endurance road category.
Now in its sixth generation, the latest Cannondale Synapse leads once again. It features an 1150 gram carbon frame, aerodynamically optimised tube shapes, and exceptional stiffness-to-weight, setting a new benchmark in road performance.
Engineered for Endurance
The Synapse is designed for speed, distance, and long-distance comfort. It offers 20% more compliance than its predecessor for improved vibration damping, with Proportional Response Construction tailoring ride characteristics to each frame size. Practical details such as the StashPort downtube storage system, discreet top tube bag mounts, and generous tyre clearance reflect the demands of real-world riding.
Refined Frame Design
Built around a lightweight carbon layup, the Synapse reduces frame weight while retaining the renowned ride quality, strength, and responsiveness. A D-shaped seatpost enhances vertical compliance and aerodynamics, while Cannondale’s Delta Steerer provides internal cable routing and a reduced frontal profile for better aero performance.
Tyre clearance of up to 48 mm at the front and 42 mm at the rear increases versatility, allowing the bike to handle rougher surfaces and varied terrain with ease.
SmartSense Gen 2.0
The latest SmartSense system improves rider visibility and safety with a more compact yet brighter front light, offering up to 800 lumens. A combined rear radar and light unit sits neatly beneath the saddle. The larger integrated battery, now housed inside the downtube, delivers over 24 hours of runtime for extended riding.
Integrated Storage
A built-in StashPort system beneath the downtube cage offers convenient internal storage via the supplied StashBag, ideal for carrying tools and ride essentials.
Connected Performance
A Cannondale Wheel Sensor supplies precise speed, distance, and route tracking data, while also connecting with the Cannondale App for maintenance reminders and ride logs.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
