By using a combination of fast-rolling GRIPTON T2 along the centre and T5 for traction on the shoulders, the tyre is able to offer a compelling combination of speed and handling. A supple yet tough BlackBelt layer made from hybrid Kevlar within the carcass prevents punctures without spoiling ride feel or adding extra weight. Overall, Specialized claim that this tyre is 4 watts faster than the previous version.
