A supple yet tough BlackBelt layer made from hybrid Kevlar within the carcass prevents punctures without spoiling ride feel or adding extra weight. Overall, Specialized claim that this tyre is 4 watts faster than the previous version.
I’ve been using these, with tubes, for a couple years now on roads of varying conditions. The dual-compound setup offers, to me, an excellent ride quality and a very grippy feel through the corners that instantly boosts your confidence. They are the closest I’ve ever felt to the supple, "floating" sensation of traditional sew-ups in a modern clincher tire. I’m running them with you tubes.
