Sign up for a spin in the Rutland countryside with our Early August Oakham Social Ride. Heading out on Saturday 6th August from the Sigma Sports Oakham store.

Free to join, follow the link above to sign up for one of our two different groups leaving the store. Each ride will have a non-drop policy, with the focus of this ride being to meet new people and explore the local roads.

Two routes are available, depending on the group you opt to ride with. Group one will be heading out from our Oakham store on a 55km loop that takes in the picturesque roads around Rutland Water and features the climb up to Knossington, which allows riders to stretch their legs. A rolling route, you can expect to clock up 626 metres of elevation before returning to the Sigma Sports Oakham store to enjoy some well deserved refreshments. Should you choose to join group two you will be treated to a slightly shorter loop of 42kms, which also loops around Rutland Water and has 518 metres of elevation gain.

The ride will be split into two groups:

Group one will average 16-18mph and is ideal for those who are looking for a simple, social ride that'll get you home in time for lunch.

 

Group two will average 13-15mph, which is perfect for anyone new to the sport, or even for those who have been riding for a while but haven’t ridden in a group before and would like to gain a bit more experience.
