Bontrager's Aeolus XXX 6 TLR Disc series has been conceived to bring the aero benefits of deep section wheels to more riders and more riding conditions than ever before. Traditionally speaking, deep section front wheels like this have been the preserve of flat parcours on still, windless days - the deeper profile being prone to catching the wind and making handling the bike a tricky proposition. However, Trek's Speed Stability Shape technology allows this front wheel to evade the disruptive effect of crosswinds, giving you all the aerodynamic benefits of a deep profile wheel that you can use even on the most blustery of days.

This wheel is built around a 60mm rim, constructed from Bontrager's OCLV XXX carbon fibre - a stiff, lightweight composite that delivers impressive stiffness whilst still keeping weight to an absolute minimum. The deep rim profile, meanwhile, works to minimise aerodynamic drag, allowing you to cut through the air at will. The wide 21mm internal rim width allows for a clean, aerodynamically efficient junction between the tyre and wheel, further improving the wheel's out-and-out speed and efficiency.

DT Swiss hub internals help to keep the wheel rolling fast and friction-free, while the thru-axle compatibility helps ensure the whole system remains stiff. Bontrager's commitment to keeping the wheels weight to a minimum is further emphasised by the laser-etched graphics - designed to add a touch of class without any extra grams in decals. Supplied as a disc brake-only option, these wheels give you the confidence to ride faster, knowing that you can stop faster too.
