Cannondale SuperSix EVO LAB71 Disc Road Frameset
Cannondale's LAB71 division exudes elegance and sits at the pinnacle of the brand's range. This LAB71 SuperSix EVO Disc Road Frameset is a true dream machine, using the lightest, most advanced materials, illustrating the marrying of engineering and style perfectly. Designed to satisfy the needs of the most demanding riders and racers, those for whom compromise is not an option, every small detail has been considered to create the best of the best.
The latest generation of SuperSix EVOs are not only incredibly light, they're some of the fastest light bikes out there, with precision engineered tubes and the frame, fork, bars, wheels and seatpost developed as a whole, resulting in a 12 watt saving at 45kph compared to the previous iteration. SuperSix EVO LAB71 has a Series 0 construction using a special carbon fibre and nano-resin layup for exceptional strength and stiffness. In fact, the frame alone in a size 56cm weighs a mind-blowing 770 grams. Stable yet agile, the handling is sublime, and intuitive for excellent control when riding at your limit.
The Delta steerer improves the aesthetic and aerodynamics, taking the cables from the cockpit down into the frameset while shrinking the headtube’s frontal area for reduced drag. Cannondale has introduced a threaded BSA bottom bracket standard for simplicity and reliability. The carbon seatpost has been refined and is now narrower, meaning if a Di2 system is installed, the battery now sits in the bottom of the downtube. It's accessed via an easy to remove cap under the bottom bracket, for quick access without removing the cranks.
Even hydration was considered when designing the new SuperSix EVO, and ReGrip Aero cages and Gripper Aero bottles are included. Their use actually enhances the streamlined profile, but the cages work with nearly any standard bottle too.
