The touchscreen Garmin Edge 830 GPS Enabled Cycling Computer comes loaded with a performance bundle that includes a cadence sensor, heart rate monitor and speed sensor so that you can maximise the depth of information available to you before, during and after each training session or race. Using the dynamic performance insights the unit will be able to tell you precisely how your body copes under specific weather conditions or when training at altitude, so you know exactly when to work harder and when to pump the brakes to not over-exert yourself and risk burning out. Sync with your TrainingPeaks profile and Garmin Connect to compare weeks gone, current condition and what work you still have to do, and by using the heart rate monitor Garmin will let you know how much recovery is required.

This fully customisable device is a bespoke training aid so you can set each page to only show exactly what you need and it will deliver alerts when you hit preset targets or even let you know when it's time to drink and eat. With the advanced accuracy of GPS, GLONASS and barometric altimeter combined, the Garmin Edge 830 also benefits from the ClimbPro feature that shows remaining ascent, distance and gradients in real-time, so you can perfectly gauge effort on long climbs.

Turn-by-turn navigation makes it easy to follow routes, either preloaded or created in-device on-the-fly, and if you need to get home quickly, the unit will work out the safest way to do that and guide you back, so you have local knowledge at your fingertips wherever you ride. For family and friends, you can send them your LiveTrack and in the event of an incident, the unit will send an alert with your location to an emergency contact.
