Garmin Forerunner 935 GPS Watch
Your perfect training partner for swimming, cycling and running, the Garmin Forerunner 935 GPS Watch offers a number of advanced running and multisport features to help you fine-tune your training. This watch is stylish, lightweight and comfortable enough to wear all day and compatibility with the Garmin QuickFit™ bands means you can change your style, or adapt to suit the event, with ease.
Advanced running metrics include biomechanical measurements such as cadence, stride length, ground contact time, vertical oscillation and vertical ratio; access to these is key to understanding your form for your best performances come race day. To tap into this data you will need more than the built-in wrist heart rate monitor; a compatible Garmin heart rate strap or the Running Dynamics Pod which clips onto your waistband. There are also features for cycling, and in the water, the watch will track your distance, pace, stroke count and other metrics.
The Forerunner 935 allows you to not only analyse all your training stats but also monitor your training and recovery so you can prepare better for upcoming races. The 'training status' performance monitoring tool evaluates your training history and performance indicators and tells you if your training is productive, or if you are overtraining, so you can adapt accordingly. Training load measures your volume of exercise for the week and compares it to the optimum for your fitness and recent training history.
There are a number of built-in activity profiles including running, cycling, swimming, cross-country skiing, paddle sports and many more. The multisport feature is perfect for brick sessions and triathlons and just the press of a button allows you to switch sports. If you connect to the Garmin Connect™ online fitness community, you can create your own customised workouts and download them for free.
LiveTrack allows people to follow your activities in real-time which is a great safety feature, and GroupTrack means you can see what your riding buddies are up to. Never miss an important message with smart notifications delivering this from your smartphone to your watch. WiFi connection allows you to transfer your data to and from the Cloud.
GPS and GLONASS coverage allows you to track your workouts, even in more remote and challenging environments, and the built-in barometer provides real-time elevation data. This watch is far more than just a triathlon watch, with support for hiking, rowing, golf, skiing, stand-up paddleboarding and more.
When not training, you can still track movement and activity such as steps, calories and sleep. If you fancy taking your training even further, there is compatibility with the Vector 2 and 2S, Garmin's pedal-based power meter.
The watch has a long battery life of two weeks in watch mode down to 24 hours in GPS mode so it should outlast your longest workout or race, and automatically syncs to Garmin Connect so you can then log in from your desktop or the Garmin Connect mobile app to view your data.
