Shimano’s Altus Square Taper Chainset 170mm offers a wide range of ratios, with its 48/38/28 tooth configuration and also includes a chain guard to protect the rings and reduce the potential for getting legwear oily. The Hyperdrive SG-X chainrings are made of steel for excellent longevity and easy shifting and the chainset is designed to work with 7 or 8-speed drivetrains and a 123mm square taper bottom bracket.
