Its highly durable gasket provided more than a year of service for professional team mechanics, equivalent to 25 years plus for mere mortals like us. Another superb feature is the unique rotating head, which allows the chuck to easily align with the stem valve, eliminating hose twist regardless of wheel orientation.

The compact design of the Hiro also makes it well suited to use with disc wheels, so if you are heading to the track or a time trial the Hiro is an essential piece of kit. Compatible too with road disc rear wheels using a cutout, this valve chuck is sure to offer a better connection to your inner tubes. The side lever locking design allows for easy one-hand operation and a satisfying sense of a secure and air-tight fit around your valve. The full metal construction and Silca 254 High-Tech elastomer gasket allow for an adjustable fit to your valve head, so you can always maintain a tight and efficient attachment.

As if all this was not enough Silca has also paid particular attention to the amount of knurl on the chuck head. The Hiro offers the perfect amount of grip even when greasy, without the threat of shredding your hands when you are attaching it to a valve. The Hiro has a male Schrader thread that will fit any Schrader chuck. This allows easy attachment to your existing pump hose. Alternatively, a thread on Schrader adapter is required to fit a bare hose.
