The Shimano XT M8000 11-Speed Cassette is the workhorse cassette for XC and trail MTB. Two gear range options cover the spread - 11-42 for XC-style riding with a 50/34 or 1x setup, and 11-46 for steeper trail-style terrain where the extra low gear is welcome. The XT-tier construction balances weight with durability for the long-term abuse of MTB use.
Construction & Materials
Mixed alloy and steel sprocket construction - the largest sprockets are aluminium for weight saving, the smaller, higher-load sprockets are steel for wear life. Shimano Hyperglide+ tooth profiling delivers smooth shifts under MTB load conditions.
Compatibility & Variants
Shimano HG MTB 11-speed freehub body. Compatible with Shimano 11-speed MTB groupsets - SLX, XT and XTR M8000-tier components. Two gear ratio options: 11-42 (XC and trail) and 11-46 (steep trail). Select the gear range that matches your terrain.
