Description
Truefuels Performance Gel
For athletes pushing through endurance training and races lasting 60 minutes or more, consistent energy intake is essential. Truefuels Performance Gel delivers 40 g of carbohydrates per serving, making it easier to reach recommended endurance targets of 6 to 120 g of carbohydrates per hour.
This higher carbohydrate content means fewer gels to carry and less interruption to your ride, helping you stay focused on performance rather than constant refuelling.
Optimised 1:1 Glucose–Fructose Ratio for Better Absorption
Many energy gels overlook how the body actually processes carbohydrates. Truefuels uses a precise 1:1 glucose–fructose ratio, allowing the body to absorb carbohydrates through multiple transport pathways.
For athletes, this translates to more efficient energy uptake, supporting sustained performance during longer efforts, or race scenarios where fuelling strategy can make the difference between holding pace and fading.
Neutral Flavour to Avoid Flavour Fatigue
During longer races and training sessions, strong flavours can quickly become overwhelming. Truefuels Performance Gel features a neutral taste, designed specifically so you can take multiple gels without experiencing flavour fatigue.
This makes it ideal for long training sessions and endurance events, where consistent fuelling is key and overly sweet gels can become difficult to tolerate.
Electrolytes and Salt to Support Hydration
Each gel contains 0.25 g or 1 g of salt along with essential electrolytes. When sweating through demanding efforts, this helps support hydration and electrolyte balance alongside carbohydrate intake.
By combining energy and hydration support in a single gel, Truefuels helps simplify your fuelling strategy so you can stay strong from start to finish.
Award-winning energy, built around how endurance athletes actually fuel. Whether you're training for your next sportive, tackling long base miles, or racing at your limit, Truefuels Performance Gel provides the reliable, science-backed energy cyclists need to perform at their best.
How to Choose: Low (0.25 g) vs. High (1 g) Salt
Gel 40/0.25 - Low Salt
Use in cool or moderate conditions, shorter sessions, or when sweat losses are lower.
Gel 40/1 - High Salt
Use in warm conditions, long sessions, or when sweat and sodium losses are high. It helps maintain fluid balance and supports sustained performance when demands increase.
Combination strategy
Mix both gels to individualise intake, e.g. 2×40/0.25 + 1×40/1 per hour for high intensity with moderate salt loss.
Dial in your own salt needs.
Use 1–3 gels per hour in any combination to match your personal sweat/salt profile.
Example: 2 × 40/0.25 + 1 × 40/1 per hour - ideal for high-intensity efforts with medium salt requirements.
