Cannondale Scalpel Si Carbon 2 27.5" / 29" Mountain Bike 2019
The Scalpel Si Carbon 2 27.5" / 29" Mountain Bike from Cannondale has 100mm of suspension travel front and rear to provide traction and comfort during long races or rides. The whole bike still weighs less than 11kgs though thanks to the BallisTec carbon frame and carefully curated list of components. Remote lockouts on both front and rear suspension ensure that no energy is lost on smoother sections of trail.
Cannondale’s latest Lefty fork is lighter and stiffer than ever and is now single crown with a quick release system for wheel removal. The wheels themselves are Cannondale's own lightweight HollowGram 23 wide carbon rims and hubs which can be set up tubeless if so desired, and the supplied Schwalbe Racing Ray and Ralph tyres certainly won’t hamper speed as they are known for their low weight and excellent rolling resistance.
Cornering and downhill confidence will be improved by Shimano’s brilliant XT hydraulic brakes which will provide single finger stopping power lap after lap. The 12-speed SRAM X01 Eagle drivetrain provides quick and accurate shifting across the 10-50 tooth cassette even when covered in mud, making sure that the right ratio is always rapidly to hand.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
