Cannondale Scalpel Si Carbon SE 27.5" / 29" Mountain Bike 2019
Cross country race-winning pedigree, more travel and slacker geometry make the Scalpel Si Carbon SE 27.5" / 29" Mountain Bike from Cannondale a very fast, very versatile bike that is capable of traversing a wide variety of terrain at high speed.
The BallisTec Carbon frame with 100mm FOX Float DPS Performance EVOL shock now provides 115mm of travel, and the FOX Float Performance 34 Stepcast fork 120mm, giving the bike better ability in the rough stuff. Furthermore, the geometry has been slackened off compared with the rest of the Scalpel range, by one degree at the head tube and 1.5 degrees at the seat tube, making the wheelbase longer and more stable and the downhills a whole lot of fun.
The Cannondale DownLow Dropper Post and burlier Stan's NoTubes tubeless ready Arch S1 wheels with Maxxis Ardent tyres match up to the bikes new character, allowing more liberties to be taken and more speed to be carried through steep and rough sections. SRAM provides both the brakes and the single ring drivetrain with their SRAM Guide T hydraulic disc brakes and NX/GX 12-speed groupset proving equal to the task.
