Description
It is mind boggling to think that this year's Cannondale SuperSix Evo Hi-Mod Dura Ace 2 Road Bike 2016 has improved on the phenomenal high-modulus SuperSix frame from last year. This has cemented its place as one of the lightest framesets on the planet and is paired with a highly desirable finishing kit list. Speed is at the heart of this bike, with a new SuperSix EVO BallisTec Carbon SPEED SAVE frame. This is paired with a Pressfit BB30 bottom bracket and the exceptionally smooth, lightweight and stiff Cannondale HollowGram Si crankset. Shimano's top of the range Dura-Ace 9000, 11-speed, provides the key features to the groupset for precise, fast shifting and stopping power.
High performance comes straight out of the box thanks to the Mavic Kysrium Elite wheels. These are normally a first upgrade, so it is incredible that Cannondale have been able to include them in this build. A race-ready setup does not mean it is an uncomfortable one. Fizik are well established in the cycling industry, producing saddles for the likes of Tour de France champion Chris Froome, and they have added their Arione R5 saddle complete with MG Rails to shave some grams off and add comfort.
Improvements for this year are seen in the frame and fork also. Cannondale have improved stiffness in the bottom bracket, headtube and fork to give you even better response and performance. This has not come at the cost of comfort, as compliance where it is needed has gone up by 20% to keep you fresher for longer and allow you to sustain your best efforts. Thankfully, Cannondale have been able to tackle aerodynamics without making a ridiculous and impractical looking bike. Clever Truncated Aero Profile (TAP) tube shapes allow you to further cheat the wind for an added six watts of saving even over last year's model. All of these advancements have not come with a weight penalty though, as amazingly Cannondale have managed to save an additional seventy grams from the system weight. Considering all of these together, really emphasises the jaw dropping quality of this super bike that you will really be able to notice.
This bike is fantastic package, there really is little you could want or need to upgrade as this SuperSix Evo Hi-Mod Dura Ace 2 Road Bike 2016 is built to great specification levels in all the key areas.
Cannondale really have designed the ultimate performance road bike, equally at home on climbs, bunch sprints or just clocking up some serious miles. If you are looking to find some serious speed, then this Cannondale SuperSix Evo Hi-Mod Dura Ace 2 Road Bike 2016 could be the bike for you.
