Twenty years ago, the original Synapse quietly reshaped road cycling by offering a fresh alternative to both aggressive race bikes and overly relaxed comfort models. It combined race-level performance and weight with genuine rider-friendly comfort and handling, effectively launching the Endurance road bike category.
Now in its sixth generation, the latest Synapse Carbon Road Bike continues to lead, redefining road performance with a sub-1000-gram carbon frame, wind-tunnel-optimised tube shapes, and class-leading stiffness-to-weight.
Designed for speed, distance, and comfort, it features 20% more compliance than its predecessor for a smoother ride, Proportional Response Construction for size-specific tuning, and thoughtful details like the StashPort downtube storage system, hidden top tube bag mounts, and room for high-volume tyres. Trusted by riders like Lachlan Morton for epic challenges, the Synapse delivers unreal performance for real-world roads.
Innovative Frame Design
The Cannondale Synapse features a refined Hi-MOD carbon layup that reduces frame weight by over 100 grams while maintaining the stiffness, ride quality, and durability the Synapse is known for. Each frame size benefits from size-specific construction, ensuring an optimal balance of stiffness and compliance across the range.
A D-shaped seatpost improves aerodynamic efficiency and enhances vertical compliance, helping to reduce rider fatigue on long days in the saddle. Cannondale’s proprietary V-shaped Delta Steerer allows for fully internal cable routing while reducing the frontal area of the head tube for improved aerodynamic performance.
With generous tyre clearance allowing up to 48 mm at the front and 42 mm at the rear, the Synapse is built to handle a wide variety of road surfaces, making it ideal for long-distance and mixed-terrain riding.
Storage Solutions
The integrated StashPort storage system sits discreetly beneath the downtube bottle cage, offering practical space for tools, nutrition, and essentials via the included StashBag.
Wheel Sensor
A Cannondale Wheel Sensor provides accurate data on speed, distance, and route tracking, while also offering maintenance reminders and more through the Cannondale App.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
