In fact, the latest R5 is Cervelo's stiffest road bike frame to date; 18% stiffer at the head tube for predictable and stable handling, and 26% stiffer at the bottom bracket for top power transfer compared to the previous generation R5.
Aerodynamics have also been well considered, and Squoval Max tubes cut drag while the Pro Fit offers a low stack height for an aggressive and aero position. The popularity of wider tyres is increasing among road cyclists and this frameset has clearance for 28mm tyres, making every ride more comfortable without compromising speed.
