Wind Tunnel

This product directly benefited from advanced computer design work using Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) software from CD-Adapco as well as extensive wind tunnel testing to make them as aerodynamically efficient and technologically advanced as possible.

Internal Cable Routing

This indicates the use of flow-through internal cable routing. It reduces wind drag and prevents contaminants from entering and interfering with the function of brake or shifter cables

Inside Out

InsideOut is a revolutionary internally optimized molding process that completely eliminates excess material, and therefore weight, inside the frame tubes and junctions. Placing polyurethane inserts inside the frame during the molding process—especially at the bottom bracket and head tube area—and then applying a precise amount of pressure and heat results in perfectly formed tubes, inside and out.

Modular Monocoque Construction

Modular Monocoque Construction is an advanced carbon fiber manufacturing technique that allows Felt to mold individual sections of the frameset and then join them together. The main advantage of MMC is that it allows each section to be optimized to meet the specific engineering demands of that particular section of the frame.

UHC ULT Nano

UHC Ulimate Nano is the mark of Felt’s lightest, stiffest, best performing frames. UHC stands for Ultra Hybrid Carbon, and as the name indicates these frames feature a hybrid blend of high modulus raw carbon fiber. The stiffest fibers are used in certain areas of the frame, more durable fibers in others. Nano refers to a proprietary resin matrix that increases frame strength at the molecular level.

UHC Advanced

Ultra Hybrid Carbon Advanced refers to the lightweight, stiff and durable blend of carbon fiber material used in the performance frames bearing the UHC Advanced label. Because the high modulus materials have a higher fiber to resin ratio, these frames are typically about 20% lighter than UHC Performance frames while remaining equally strong and stiff. UHC Advanced offers the best combination of value and performance.
