Shimano's RS685 hydraulic disc brakes offer top-shelf performance with light and super-strong rotors that combine with the superb graduated stopping power of the finely tuned calipers and levers.

Shimano's Ultegra 11-speed groupset further reinforces this bike's top-end credentials ensuring a shifting smoothness and reliability that is more than capable of getting you up and over the toughest climbs while still having the ability to power along on the flat or downhill.

The Cayo frame comes with custom pipe diameters for each frame size. This offers an optimal ratio of weight to stiffness without sacrificing comfort. The inner installation of the cables is achieved by a removable plate, which is mounted on the front of the head tube. This ensures the cables are routed optimally and cleanly in the frame and are protected from dirt and water.

Also featuring is the tapered headtube. This design reduces steering weight while increasing the headset stiffness and overall handling compliance. Focus' pressfit30 bottom bracket in conjunction with the large connection area to the frame allows for the unencumbered transfer of power through the pedals and down into the road.

The wheelset has also seen an upgrade over other Cayo disc models. The DT Swiss R24 Spline thru axle disc offer a greater level of stability and traction thanks to their slightly wider profile. This also helps to distribute the stopping power for an even greater level of braking assurance and grip.
