With an innovative design, the Orbea Optima E40 Electric Hybrid Bike is a versatile, easy-access option for city life. With balanced city geometry and comfortable touch points, it is a joy to ride, and its Ebikemotion X35 Plus motor delivers smooth, natural assistance up to a maximum speed of 15.5 mph / 25 km/h to cruise the flats and flatten the hills. Built with town and leisure use in mind, the Optima boasts a wide range of features to enhance its ease of use, making it the perfect companion for urban living.
With a fully integrated battery, the Optima retains the look of a traditional bike, but with an added boost. The sleek iWoc TRIO remote is simple to use and is mounted on the handlebar for easy access, allowing you to select the level of assistance required. A 248Wh battery balances capacity with size, with its compact form keeping the bikes overall weight down, all while still offering excellent range.
Equipped for the rigours of town use, the wide Kenda tyres cushion bumpy roads and grip to slick tarmac. As standard, the Optima E40 features a pannier rack to carry luggage, and SKS EDGE Alloy mudguards to defend against dirt road spray. A bike stand further adds ease of use, and the chain guard prevents oil stains. The built-in front and rear lights run off the bikes internal battery, ensuring there is only one thing to charge. A comfortable Selle Royal saddle ensures you can ride all day long, and powerful hydraulic disc brakes supply ample stopping power for the added weight of motor and battery.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
