Santa Cruz Blur Carbon CC X01 TR 29" Mountain Bike 2021
Santa Cruz’s Blur Carbon CC X01 TR 29” Mountain Bike adds a beefier 110mm travel FOX Step-Cast 34 Float Performance Elite fork, larger front rotor, Maxxis Rekon tyres and a RockShox Reverb Stealth dropper seat post to the proven XC racer recipe. These changes provide much greater versatility and ability across a wider range of courses and terrain with just a small weight penalty, making it better suited to singletrack blasts and all-day epics whilst still being a highly capable race day tool. Lateral frame stiffness is helped by the use of a twin upright construction that mirrors that of their burly downhill bikes, and the combination of Virtual Pivot Point and FOX Float Performance DPS rear shock with handlebar remote keeps pedal induced bob in check for maximum efficiency. The CC grade carbon used for the frame is just as stiff and strong as the C option, but the layup means that it is even lighter.
SRAM’s premium mechanical X01 12-speed groupset ensures snappy shifting whether under pressure in a race or when climbing a techy trail, whilst the Level TLM hydraulic disc brakes combine a 160mm rear with a 180mm front rotor for added confidence and power. DT Swiss hubs and 29” Race Face ARC Offset 25 rims provide reliability and strength, with the rim’s width increasing the tyre’s cornering stability.
