Santa Cruz Bronson Carbon C S Reserve 27.5" Mountain Bike 2020
With all-around trail versatility infused into its character, the Santa Cruz Bronson Carbon C S Reserve 27.5" Mountain Bike utilises a potent blend of burliness and responsiveness to inject enthusiasm and confidence into any rider, across any terrain.
At the heart of the build is the full carbon frame with this naturally affording agility and trail resilience. This chassis acts as a sure foundation to which the one-piece swingarm rear suspension unit is attached via a VPP lower-link suspension configuration. This setup inherently promotes composed impact management, a progressive shock rate and accurate rear wheel tracking to result in a ride sensation bursting with trail traction, pedalling efficiency and sharpness. These traits are then combined with the trail accuracy and grace promoted by the partnering RockShox Super Deluxe Select+ fork.
User-adjustability comes courtesy of the Flip Chip that is installed with the rear linkage set up. This component fine-tunes the bottom bracket height, shock rate and mid-stroke support to grant a completely personalised ride according to rider preference or trail complexity.
The Reserve 30 27.5" wheelset features carbon rims from Santa Cruz's own stable and these have a specific layup that is tailored to increase big-hit compliance and strength. The 30mm internal rim width integrates seamlessly with the 2.5-inch front and 2.4-inch tyres to afford heightened handling precision when compared to a plus setup. The off-centre rim drilling then allows for consistent spoke tensions to result in a stronger, more reliable wheel build.
All landscapes are scalable thanks to the vast collection of gear ratios given by the 12-speed cassette. This is operated by the ever-dependable SRAM GX Eagle groupset before efficient propulsion is supplied by the SRAM crank arms and their integrated DUB axle. A hydraulic brake configuration then performs stopping duties with accuracy and composure granting reliability and confidence in any conditions.
