Santa Cruz Chameleon Carbon C S 27.5+ Mountain Bike 2020
The Santa Cruz Chameleon Carbon C S 27.5+ Mountain Bike takes all of the versatility of the previous incarnation but maximises the ride sensation with a notable update. This latest version receives a recently designed carbon frame that incorporates its newly found attributes to grant even more performance across downhills, jumps, cross country and beyond.
The new frame, utilising an advanced composite lay-up, stiffens and lightens to promote increased agility through all manner of turns and responsiveness upon their exit. Paired with the Fox 34 Performance fork that increases trail accuracy by smoothing and cushioning the Chameleon is set for any adventure.
Rolling on the reliable Race Face AR 40 rims and DT Swiss 370 hubset the wheelset as a whole is conceived within the boost concept that grants increased wheel stiffness and improved handling. The wheels are joined by the dependable SRAM GX Eagle gearset that glides up and down the 12 sprockets on demand, never missing a click. At the same time, forward drive is ensured by the stiff, efficient SRAM crankset and integrated, oversize DUB axle. Stopping is by way of a highly modulated hydraulic set up that feather the Avid 180mm rotors with assured confidence.
The RockShox Reverb Stealth dropper seatpost offers dual saddle heights allowing optimal seating positions as the terrain dictates. Steering duties are granted by the steadfast Race Face Aeffect bars and stem before versatility is promoted via adjustable dropouts, allowing for the use of 29er or 27.5 wheels and their range of accompanying tyre widths.
