Santa Cruz Highball Carbon C R 29" Mountain Bike 2020
The entry model of the Santa Cruz Highball range doesn't mean entry-level performance or tech. The Santa Cruz Highball Carbon C R 29 Mountain Bike is nothing of the sort, in fact, many of the features and engineering practises flow throughout the range. The carbon fibre used in the C version provides as much stiffness as that used in the CC iteration but at a more affordable price. A Fox Rhythm 32 fork takes care of suspension, offering up to a 100mm of travel and features a remote lockout.
The drivetrain and brakes are SRAM using NX Eagle 12-speed, 1x setup with a 10-50T cassette. The brakes are Level T hydraulic disc with 160mm Centre Lock Avid Centerline rotors, offering great braking performance.
The wheelset, in keeping with the rest of the bike, is SRAM, using MTH hubs, with DT Swiss Competition spokes (32), laced to WTB ST i23 TSC 2.0 29" rims. They are tubeless-ready and the wheels are fitted with Maxxis Aspen 29" x 2.25" EXO TR tyres, front and rear as appear on the rest of the range. The cockpit is RaceFace Aeffect with a Cane Creek 10 IS Integrated Headset.
The Carbon C frame uses an ever-reliable threaded bottom bracket for peace of mind. The seatpost is the Race Face Ride post with a WTB Silverado Race saddle.
