Scott Foil RC Disc Road Bike 2019
Scott’s RC Foil Disc Road Bike has an impressive heritage, with numerous Grand Tour and Classics wins on its palmares, including Paris-Roubaix where stiff aero bikes are often eschewed in favour of a more comfortable model. In the main this is because Scott has managed to achieve the near-impossible by making the Foil RC stiff, aerodynamic and comfortable. The frame is 86% more vertically compliant than its predecessor meaning less fatigue and more control even though the bottom bracket area is 13% stiffer for better power transfer.
Shimano’s top tier mechanical groupset performs shifting and braking duties, with the 11-speed Dura-Ace drivetrain using a 53/39 chainset to provide the top-end speed appropriate for a Racing Concept bike. Confident and assured braking is provided by the Dura-Ace hydraulic calipers, which work flawlessly in all weathers and allow later braking into corners for a competitive edge. The Syncros wheelset and finishing kit are no afterthought, with the RR1.0 integrated stem and handlebar having been developed alongside the Foil in order to aid its aerodynamic properties. All cables are internally routed out of the wind, and feed into a single port on the top of the downtube rather than the sides for better frame integrity. At 50mm deep the tubeless ready Syncros Meritt 1.0 50 disc wheels are definitely going to save a few watts, and a few more can be saved thanks to the removable lever on the thru-axle, making for a very slippery package.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
