Scott Scale RC 900 SL 29" Mountain Bike 2019
The Scott Scale RC 900 SL 29" Mountain Bike features a heady mix of premium Syncros componentry, an ultralight carbon frame and Shimano’s top mechanical groupset. The frame itself weighs less than 900 grams, and would be considered light if it were used for a road bike let alone a rugged off-road machine. Scott say that this generation of Scale is 47% more comfortable than the previous one, thanks in part to the Evo-Lap HMX SL carbon layup which allows the frame to be very stiff, very comfortable and very, very light. Comfort is further increased by the SDS2 technology which gives controlled flex at certain points both when standing and when seated.
Shimano’s top tier XTR groupset has long been the benchmark by which other mountain bike groupsets are judged, providing sharp shifting and excellent hydraulic braking in all conditions, With a single ring set up using a 32 tooth front chainring and a 12-speed 10-51 cassette all possible ratios are catered for.
The finishing kit and wheels are no afterthought here, with the cross-country racing heritage reflected in the super light 1,250 gram Syncros Silverton 1.0 wheelset and the other carbon componentry, including a very stiff and light one-piece bar and stem setup for maximum steering accuracy. These thoughtful specification choices all go together to help give the RC 900 SL 29er a total claimed weight of an incredible 9.05kg.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
